July brought a wave of golden heat that bathed the Matthews estate in shimmering sunlight. With academic commitments paused for the peak of summer, the household threw itself into spontaneous creative projects. Emma oversaw the flourishing botanical gardens on the southern terrace, while Ava transformed the eastern veranda into a vibrant open-air art gallery showcasing her latest canvas works.

One particularly balmy Friday evening, the hauntingly beautiful notes of a piano drifted through the open French doors of the formal parlor. John paused his reading in the study and walked quietly down the corridor. Olivia sat at the vintage grand piano, her fingers moving effortlessly across the ivory keys, playing a complex, triumphant melody of her own composition.

Emma and Ava sat nearby on the velvet settee, listening in absolute rapt attention. As the final, resonant chord faded into the warm night air, John stepped into the room, applauding softly.

"I had no idea you possessed such musical brilliance alongside your legal prowess," John said with a warm smile.

Olivia turned on the bench, her face flushed with genuine happiness. "Music was my only refuge for a long time, Dad. But playing it here, in this house, with all of you... it finally feels like a celebration instead of an escape."

John walked over and rested a hand gently on her shoulder. "You never have to escape again, Olivia. This is your stage, and your home."
