That evening, the grand living room was transformed into a fortress of warmth and security. Emma, Olivia, and Ava had gathered on the sprawling Persian rug, piling up oversized velvet floor cushions and wrapping themselves in heavy wool blankets to form a protective, cozy nest near the crackling stone fireplace.

When John walked in carrying a tray of hot cider and shortbread, three pairs of eyes—filled with fierce loyalty and profound gratitude—turned to greet him.

"You didn't have to threaten him with federal prison, Dad, though it was poetically satisfying," Olivia murmured softly, pulling her knees to her chest as a small, genuine smile touched her lips.

John knelt beside them on the rug, wrapping his arm securely around Olivia's shoulders while Emma and Ava immediately leaned into his side. "Nobody threatens my family. Not corporate predators, not ghosts from the past, nobody. This house is your sanctuary. As long as I am breathing, no one will ever make you feel powerless again."

Emma smiled, a sharp, brilliant light flashing in her eyes. "Besides, Olivia and I are already drafting a comprehensive preventative brief just in case he tries any more legal loopholes. We've got our own elite defense squad right here in this living room."

"And I'll sketch a massive, fire-breathing dragon for the front gates to scare off any other corporate ghouls," Ava added brightly, holding up her digital tablet with a fierce, beautifully rendered illustration.

Laughter erupted in the room, warm, bright, and entirely fearless. John looked around the circle of brilliant young women, feeling a profound, unshakeable peace settle over his soul. The thirty lonely years of his past were completely washed away by the radiant light of the family he had fought so hard to build.
