Andre never expected to step into his parents' kitchen and see his father standing over his mother like that.

Mr.

Robinson had been arguing with his wife for several minutes.

"If you don't shut your mouth right now, I swear I'm gonna—"

Andre walked into the kitchen.

"You gonna what, Pop?"

The room went silent.

Andre dropped his backpack and placed himself between his father and his mother.

"Long as I'm standing here, you not doing nothing."

His father stared at him.

"This ain't got nothing to do with you, Andre."

Andre didn't move.

"It does now.

Back up."

Mrs.

Robinson watched her son in silence, fighting back tears.

For the first time that night, Mr.

Robinson had nothing to say.

But Andre didn't know the truth about what had started the argument in the first place...

And when he found out, he couldn't believe what his mother had been hiding.

---

Robinson been keeping — and will it change everything Andre thought he knew about his family?
