The drive back to the Rossy estate felt strangely quiet, the calm before the absolute final storm.

Norah had crippled Julian’s operation financially, and Vincent had crushed his military forces at the docks, but a desperate man was the most dangerous kind of enemy.

When Norah’s convoy reached the winding road leading up to the heavily fortified mansion, the lead vehicle suddenly slammed on its brakes.

A massive, burning oil tanker was blocking the entire roadway, thick black smoke billowing into the dark night sky.

"It's a barricade," the driver shouted, violently throwing the heavy SUV into reverse to escape the trap.

Before the tires could even catch the asphalt, a blinding flash of light erupted from the tree line on the left side of the road.

A heavy rocket-propelled grenade slammed directly into the lead security vehicle, flipping the massive armored truck like a child's toy.

Norah screamed, thrown violently against her seatbelt as the deafening sound of automatic gunfire erupted from the dark woods.

Julian’s remaining loyalists, a desperate suicide squad with nothing left to lose, were launching a final, devastating ambush.

"Get down!" the head of her security detail roared, drawing his weapon as bullets sparked violently against the bulletproof glass of their SUV.

The armored glass spider-webbed under the intense pressure, holding firm against the initial barrage but threatening to shatter completely.

Norah huddled on the floorboards, her hands instinctively wrapping tightly around her stomach to protect her unborn child.

She could hear the terrifying sounds of her guards returning fire, their heavy weapons echoing loudly in the narrow, smoke-filled corridor of the road.

Suddenly, her radio crackled to life, filled with the static and roar of an approaching engine.

"Hold your ground, Norah, I am exactly three minutes away," Vincent’s voice roared through the speaker, raw with absolute, murderous panic.

He had intercepted the distress call from the convoy and was tearing through the city streets with Enzo and the main strike force.

Outside the SUV, the heavy thud of boots hitting the pavement signaled that the assassins were closing in for the final kill.

One of the attackers stepped up to the shattered window, raising a heavy asNextlt rifle to finish the job.

Before he could pull the trigger, the violent roar of a massive engine completely drowned out the gunfire.

Vincent’s custom armored truck slammed directly into the flank of the ambush line, crushing the attackers beneath its massive, reinforced steel bumper.

Vincent didn't even wait for the truck to fully stop before he kicked the door open, unleashing absolute hell with a heavy machine gun.

He moved like a force of pure nature, executing the remaining assassins with terrifying, clinical precision.

In less than sixty seconds, the ambush was entirely broken, the woods falling completely silent except for the crackle of burning oil.

Vincent ripped the heavy door of Norah's SUV open, pulling her out of the smoke and directly into his bloody, desperate embrace.

"Are you hurt?" Vincent demanded, his hands shaking violently as he frantically checked her face for injuries.

"I am perfectly fine," Norah promised, pressing her forehead against his chest and listening to his racing heart. "Let's go home."
